Job Description

We are now looking for Quarry Personnel for the block stone quarry in Skärholmen. As Quarry Personnel, you will become an important part of our work with granite processing. The job involves learning a craft that includes wire sawing, wedging, and detaching rock for further processing at one of our production units. You will be part of a smaller team that collectively solves the tasks.

Working hours: 4-4 shift, which means working 4 days (05:40-17:30) followed by 4 days off continuously.

Responsibilities

The work varies from loading/unloading goods to setting up/taking down block saws/frame saws with the help of forklifts and wheel loaders, manual processing, and operating our state-of-the-art automated slab line. The work is physical and partly takes place outdoors year-round.

Qualifications

As Quarry Personnel at Bohusgranit, you work in the quarry both individually and together with your team, where collaboration and communication are success factors for completing the tasks. You have good communication skills. You have a positive attitude, are proactive in your work, and are meticulous about time and safety. Since we work in teams, your personal qualities are important to contribute to the team's good atmosphere and results. A driver's license is a requirement for the position, and we prefer that you have a high school diploma. Contributing to a safe workplace and participating in risk and consequence analyses is seen as an important part of everyday life. Forklift/Wheel Loader licenses and experience are advantageous but not required. We are looking for someone who enjoys working physically and has experience working outdoors regardless of the weather. Previous experience as a scaffolder, laborer, blaster, or drilling worker is advantageous.
